Publication Ethics Policy

We follow the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly work in Medical Journals issued by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE; http://www.icmje.org/urm_main.html) and the Cope of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE; http://publicationethics.org/files/Code_of_conduct_for_journal_editors.pdf).

Conflicts of Interest:  A conflict of interest may exist when an author (or the author’s institution or employer) has financial, or personal relationships that could inappropriately influence (or bias) the author’s decisions, work, or manuscript. All authors are required to disclose potential conflicts of interest in the Acknowledgments section of the manuscript by following the Recommendations of the ICMJE.

Authors without conflicts of interest, including relevant financial interests, activities, relationships, and affiliations, should indicate that no conflicts of interest exist in the Acknowledgments section of their manuscript.
